Holiday Tournament at Evergreen High School!

The FHS Boys Varsity Basketball Team won the 2021 NW Ohio Holiday Classic Tournament at Evergreen High School on Tuesday, December 29.
The Redmen defeated McComb 57-53 on Monday in a semifinal matchup to advance to the championship game.
In the final on Tuesday, FHS defeated Evergreen 52-49 in double overtime. It was a thrilling matchup. A big put back basket by Kristian Carter-Stokes followed by an "and one" free throw was huge for the Redmen. Lakai Robinson added a HUGE steal an monster dunk the cap off the victory at the end of the second overtime.
Sophomore Jordan Ferguson was named Most Outstanding player in the tournament.  Ferguson had 39 points in the two game tournament. Robinson scored 30 points, Zach Ward had 18, Machi Johnson had 13 in the two games. Big contributions to the championship came from Gavin Miller who was key off the bench playing outstanding defense and having several big "hustle plays" in the win over Evergreen.
Senior Jared Durst played very well in the semifinal win against McComb with stellar defense and excellent rebounding on the defensive end. Unfortunately we had to play without Jared on Tuesday due to health and safety protocols.
The Redmen travel to Eastwood on Tuesday, January 4th for a matchup with the current NBC leading Eagles of Eastwood High School.
